On this day in 1979, VisiCalc was introduced on the Apple II. Now, 40 years later, spreadsheets are still the most used business tool in the world.

1.2 billion people are using Microsoft Excel alone, on a daily basis. It is therefore no surprise that International Spreadsheet Day has been created to celebrate the existence of the tool that is trusted by so many people.
